Self Worth - Work in progress

For the longest time , I have struggled with being able to value myself. To feel like I'm good enough. We are taught to believe that our worth is always relative and our value depends on how other people view us. So , we learn to look at ourselves and know our worth based on how we are valued by others , because what are the other ways really, the whole world seems to be living that way.

The more we ride with this relative way of looking at ourselves , the more we seek from outside. The more we seek from the external , the more disappointed we are. Is there anyone who can constantly validate us as per our needs ? Can we ourselves do it for someone else? No, it'll really be cruel to expect it. We may find people who really love us , but even they can't be fully what we seek from them.

I have wondered for so long as to how do I build a strong sense of self. Finally the answer came to me one day.

No conclusion we make about ourselves is really the absolute truth. Our sense of self lies in the higher possibilities of lives we can live for ourselves and not in how others view it.

Living with this realisation means , not being attached to any idea of who I am. Having faith that the dreams that are given to me are given for a reason. No matter small or big, it's there to show me my soul path. Letting go of people's idea of how my life should look like.

Strong self worth is nothing but just a strong connection with your centre. The centre which will both light you up and direct you when needed.

It's not like you know this and that's it. Understanding this is just the beginning. Mastering it only happens when you live this every moment of your life. It definitely empowers and liberates you from so many unwanted thought webs in your minds

It's a work in progress surely!
